Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was 18 years old. Ladd became more confident after the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. After that, she went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen in a unanimous vote. The loss put a mark on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd rebounded from the loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar in the 2nd round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill was able to take down McGill in the first round, and she was able to stop her fight in the third round via TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd was unable to put on the weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy through TKO. Her final fight with Promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks via an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound for a second-round TKO victory. Her dominance grew and she scored a more impressive win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd ended Evinger in the opening round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first fight she's had in a major role. Both fighters fought one of the most competitive fights that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to end Ladd and her streak. After a break of a few seconds, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya in UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her loss was a unanimous one.
